Capt. Malliaros graduated from the Public Academy of Merchant Marine of Aspropyrgos and began his career at sea on chemical and crude oil tankers, advancing to Chief Mate and Marine Master. His seagoing experience formed the foundation for a distinguished shore-based career. In 2012, he joined Euronav Ship Management Hellas, serving in key roles including HSQE Superintendent, DPA, and CSO. He later established Euronav’s Singapore office as General Manager (2015–2018), before returning as Fleet Personnel Manager and being appointed General Manager of Euronav Ship Management Hellas in 2022. He most recently served as Managing Director of Anglo-Eastern Ship Management Hellas. Driven by his passion for people and maritime excellence, Capt. Malliaros founded ventures focused on human capital and seafarer development. A strong advocate for mentorship and career progression, he emphasizes empowering the next generation of officers. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, a member of Intertanko’s Hellenic Mediterranean Panel and DNV’s Hellenic National Committee, and an Associate Member of HELMEPA—promoting a safer, responsible, and people-centered maritime industry.
